MY STORY
I am a Public Health Doctor and my training and experience has taught me that people do better in more equal societies. That injustice and inequity lead to human beings not realising their full potential and breeds an environment that is destructive to us and to the planet. Labour principles of fairness and social justice align with my understanding of the world and I am therefore proud to stand as a Labour Party member to work and fight for better for all.
I am passionate about preventative health and wellbeing, and empowering our communities to thrive. Whether on a local, national or global scale, keeping people well is at the very top of my agenda. I believe that health must be at the foundation of all public policy and decision making.

My priorities
Find out more about my priorities as your MP for Worthing West.
NHS & Health
I want to see an ambitious, accountable and transparent 10-year plan for our NHS which is community focussed and leaves no-one behind. I will therefore continue to lead on often overlooked issues like mental health, antimicrobial resistance and liver health, and argue for a preventative and proactive approach across locally, nationally and globally.
Housing & Infrastructure
I will always push for more genuinely affordable housing, better protections for renters, and positive action to tackle the housing crisis. However, this must also be community-focussed and supported by the necessary infrastructure, with access to schools and health services as well as accessible public transport and active travel routes.
Safer Communities
I believe this can only be fully achieved by providing inclusive, safe spaces and opportunities for active engagement with our communities and by investing in our young people and other often marginalised groups.
